DESCRIPTION:On March 12\, 2013\, I’ll be participating in a “Lunch and Learn” program on Cloud Computing at the Suffolk County Bar Association from 12:30-2:00 p.m. “Cloud computing” refers to the use of hardware and software that are not located on the user’s computer or other device\, but are delivered over a network like the Internet. Cloud computing brings many advantages to businesses\, including law practices\, in terms of economy and efficiency. But – especially for lawyers – there are also potential pitfalls. In this program\, a quartet of local practitioners discusses what cloud computing is\, what programs are available\, what questions lawyers should ask cloud providers\, and what to do about issues of client confidentiality.
